Celebrating NanoMEGAS

20 years is a long way to go full of scientific adventures and excitement ; we had a good reason to celebrate the 20th year anniversary of NanoMEGAS (jointly with our employees and their families) at the beautiful island of Crete (Greece) from 24-28 July.
Precession electron diffraction was invented by Vincent and Midgley exactly 30 years ago and recently ushered its golden era because of the developments of fast direct electron detectors, fast electron beam precession units & advanced data processing algorithms NanoMEGAS has been pioneering precession diffraction related applications since 20 years ago with developments in orientation /phase and strain mapping, 3D ED tomography, PDF analysis of amorphous phases and electric field mapping in materials science.
Is impossible to thank all our friends and customers that accompanied us in this successful 20 years journey. Just to name a few of our early adopters like Dr. Douglas Dorset (ExxonMobil, USA) , Prof. A. S. Avilov (Shubnikov Institute of Crystallography, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, Russia), Prof. Del Planck (ULB Brussels, Belgium), Prof. Thomas E. Weirich (Aachen University, Germany), Prof. Ute Kolb (University of Mainz, Germany), Prof. J. P. Abrahams (University of Basel, Switzerland), Dr. Edgar F. Rauch (Université Grenoble Alpes, France), Prof. Muriel Veron (Université Grenoble Alpes, France), Prof. Jean Paul Morniroli (Université de Lille, France), Prof. Paul Midgley (University of Cambridge, UK), Prof. Sven Hovmöller (Stockholm University, Sweden), Prof. Xiaodong. Zou (Stockholm University, Sweden), Dr. Mauro Gemmi (Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, Italy), Prof. Peter Moeck (Portland State University, USA) just to name only few of them.
Today we are proud not only of the more than 290 installations in various TEMs all over the world but also of the more than 900 scientific publications in precession diffraction related fields coming from various scientific laboratories.

Precession 30 Years Anniversary
We are delighted to invite you to the NanoMEGAS User’s Meeting, celebrating the 30th anniversary of beam precession development in electron diffraction for Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM). The event is jointly organised by Quantum Design and NanoMEGAS and will be hosted at Cambridge University, an institute with significant historical contributions to beam precession technology.
The meeting aims to showcase the latest developments and upgrades in NanoMEGAS applications, including faster data collection, utilisation of 4D-SPED for advanced applications, integration with various detectors, synergy with in-situ studies, etc.
The invitation is exclusively for experienced NanoMEGAS system users.
In the second part of the meeting, selected scientific works will be presented, highlighting recent advancements and results. We are excited to invite you to present your latest scientific results, using NanoMEGAS applications.
Early registration is highly recommended as the schedule and presentation slots will be limited. Your timely response will help us organise the agenda effectively and ensure your participation in this insightful event.
Further details regarding the agenda will be provided to you soon.
Your contribution will add significant value to the discussions and enrich the collective knowledge sharing during this milestone celebration.
